Welcome to our school website which showcases school life in Donard NS. 

Donard NS is a dynamic and caring rural 4 mainstream teacher school in the parish of Cloughbawn.  Our staff are dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, stimulating and happy environment where all pupils grow and develop to achieve their full potential.

Our motto is “Meabhair Chun Foghlama” and we strive to inspire a life long love of learning.

We have a large pitch, playground and excellent outdoor facilities.  We encourage pupils to be physically active.  We participate in lots of sporting events and our Active School Week is the highlight of the year for our pupils.

We value highly the partnership between home and school and we encourage parents to take an active part in the child’s education and school.

Children and their well-being are at the centre of all we do in Donard NS and the pupils all round development is very important to us.

School starts at 9.00am with before school supervision beginning at 8.45am  We have a Homework Club from 1.40pm – 2.40pm and we will soon be opening an Afterschool for pupils from 2.40pm – 5.10pm.
